The following is PART TWO of an interview that B J conducted with Lisa Davis, founder of FFARS, Foundation For Abduction Research and Support
PART ONE can be seen ...Here FFARS takes a different approach than mainstream Ufology to the alien abduction mystery; believing that a strong Christian belief is the foundation of addressing and healing the deep seeded emotional scars of being abducted. They are preparing a support workbook which will be available in September of this year. Check at the FFARS website for updates, and more information on this publication.

Editors Note: I was particularly interested in this sighting because it took place about 35 miles south of the UFO Casebook office. I contacted the witness and photographer of the unknown objects and got more details than were originally released with the report last week. The witness sent me a zip file of a number of excellent images taken with his Kodak digital camera. I have isolated, enhanced, and enlarged the UFO, and published the photos here for all to see. ( B J) The witness states: I live in Round Rock, Texas off Gattis School Road, exit 251 I-35. I was out doing yard work and I noticed a plane taking off almost straight up. I was looking east toward Taylor Municipal Airport. I thought to myself that this plane is going pretty fast and climbing altitude quick. I notice planes all the time but I really could not make this one out. It was dark like black. Bergstrom is 30 miles south of me and I wondered what in the world would be taking off from Taylor that would need to climb in altitude like that. While I was watching it I noticed something to the right of the contrail shiny and weaving or wobbling. It was real close to the contrail left behind by the plane. I sat there and watched for a second and could not believe it because I have always wanted to see a flying saucer. I ran into the house to get my camera and came out and it was still there. I got two pictures of it. I like the negative photos the best because they really does show something solid there and it is in the shape of a saucer. The first picture shows the plane and the object. There is something else to the top right but I do not know what it is but it does not show up in any of the other pictures. I think it was a bird.

Was it a brilliant meteor that flashed across Australia? "Suddenly there was this flash, it's the only way I can describe it – it was so bright it was a white flash and it lit everything up. It was like somebody had turned on 50,000 spotlights." That's how Elsa Nelms described the bright light in the Australian outback around 7 p.m. local time last night, as a huge fireball reportedly crashed to Earth somewhere in the state of Queensland. "We all looked up in the sky and there was a white smoke trail coming from the Northeast – like a firecracker smoke trail but it was too high to even be an aircraft," the Winton resident told the Australian Associated Press. Some citizens thought they might be under attack. "[My friend] thought we were getting bombed and it just come over this big fire with a big tail about the size of a semi-trailer and we heard this big explosion," a witness said, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. "The ground was just vibrating and there was this big vapor trail and it stayed in the air for about 10 minutes ... we didn't know what was happening." Grazier Peter Crombie told ABC the light show was fantastic. "It just lit up the whole garden here like an arc light ... with that really brilliant light," he said. "I was talking to one lady or two ladies driving along, they said it lit up the whole inside of the car. You could just see everything you know, you could honestly read a newspaper." "It actually shook buildings," George Schafer of Winton told the Townsville Bulletin. "There was a bang like you wouldn't believe." Mike Barton of Australian Search and Rescue says the pilot of a Virgin Blue passenger jet reported the unidentified object flying over him at about 25,000 feet, and told ABC it "looks like some sort of meteor space re-entry." Murray Smith from the town of Roma described his experience to the network. "I actually had my back to it, but somebody yelled out what's that?" he said. "I looked around and I said what the hell is it? It was a big fireball. I don't know how big you'd say it was, as big as the sun anyway with the front end of it and a pretty long comet like tail on it. But all I can say was it was big. Nothing like I'd ever seen, and I've seen a few satellites and this and that, but I'd never seen anything as big as that one." Back in Winton, Nelms told AAP her house shook and the entire town either witnessed or felt the event, as phones instantly started ringing and people jumped out of their homes. "The neighbors came over and they were white-faced," she said. Nelms said she spoke with others some 80 miles away from Winton who saw the flash but didn't feel any vibration. "There's probably is a big hole somewhere – but had this fallen on Winton we probably wouldn't be sitting here talking about it," she said. While no one has confirmed what the object was, officials suspect it was a meteorite, though the location of impact has yet to be determined. 1954, UFO & Occupant Vanish Before Construction Workers |
UFO Vanishes in France
George Gatay, who was foreman of an eight-man construction crew, was unexpectedly drawn away from his crew, feeling a sense of "peculiar drowsiness." He was walking, but did not know why or to where. A short distance from his construction site, Gatay was amazed to encounter a man standing on a slope, some 30 feet from him. The "man" was wearing an opaque glass helmet with a large visor. He was wearing gray coveralls, and short boots. He also held an object in his hand, which Gatay described as a weapon of some kind, like a rod. There was a kind of electronic instrument display on his chest. This strange looking man was standing in front of a dome-shaped object, which hovered about 3 feet above the ground.
The craft had a cupola with blade-like devices above it. Gatay, enthralled with the sight of the man and his craft, was frozen in his tracks.
Gatay stated: "Suddenly, the strange man vanished, and I couldn't explain how he did it, since he did not disappear from my field of vision by walking away, but vanished like an image one erases. Then I heard a strong whistling sound which drowned the noise of our excavators. Soon the object rose by successive jerks, in a vertical direction, and then it too was erased in a sort of blue haze, as if by a miracle."
Gatay had tried to run after first seeing the being and object, but was "paralyzed" during the sighting. Strangely, his seven co-workers were also in a sort of a daze during the incident. All eight of the men were "non-believers" before their strange incident.
As soon as Gatay was released from his strange encounter, he ran back to the other workers, and cried, "Have you seen something?" One of the men, Mr. Beurrois, exclaimed, "Yes--A flying saucer!"
Another of the men, excavator driver Mr. Lubanovic added, "There was a man dressed like a diver in front of it." The other workers all added their confirmation to the strange event.
Gatay was a well-known and respected man who had fought in the war with the French Resistance, and was wounded in Luxembourg. After the sighting, he began to suffer from insomnia, strong headaches, and a loss of appetite. These symptoms lasted about a week. Even after this strange sighting, the men collectively believed that they had been witnesses to some type of experimental craft, probably from France itself. This explanation was not feasible given the details of the hovering of the craft, and the actual vanishing of the craft in front of the men. What was this other-wordly craft seen by these men? And the being, was it a living entity, or a remotely controlled robot of some type? To this day, no reasonable explanation has been given to answer these questions, and this case is still listed as unexplained.

"Metallic" Sound Heard Again on ISS The two men aboard the international space station heard a strange metallic sound again Friday, four months after being startled by it the first time. Cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri was talking to flight controllers in Moscow when he heard a loud drumlike noise coming from the instrument panel of the station's Russian-built living quarters.Kaleri and astronaut Michael Foale first heard the mystery noise described as a flapping sheet of metal back in late November. Neither the crewmen nor flight controllers were ever able to identify the sound, although engineers suspected space junk may have damaged something on the exterior.Kaleri said Friday morning's noise came from about the same place as before and sounded the same."I had the headset on, so I didn't hear it very clearly. But it sounded sort of like a drum. It sounds sort of like a sheet of something being bent," the cosmonaut reported.Russian flight controllers told Kaleri that they would try to figure out where the noise was coming from, and speculated that perhaps one of the systems inside the station was the source of the problem, rather than something on the outside.NASA officials, however, said all systems appeared to be operating properly. "It's very strange," Russian Mission Control said. "I doubt that it would be a coincidence that you're hearing the same thing coming from the same place."During a spacewalk in February, Kaleri and Foale were supposed to check the exterior of the space station where the noise originated last November. But Kaleri's spacesuit overheated and became damp, and the spacewalk had to be cut short, so the men did not have time to inspect the area.Kaleri and Foale's six-month space station mission is almost over. Their replacements are due to arrive in another 2 1/2 weeks. source: ABC News |
Did Whirlwind Create Crop Circle? Large crop circles with unbroken stems have mysteriously appeared in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.Residents of the small town of Conondale, west of Maleny, say they are baffled by the large areas of flattened grass. Crop circle enthusiast Chris White gave the complex designs an eight out of 10. "You can't imagine anyone faking these because the seed heads would be broken and it doesn't look like it's been trampled or crushed. "There were people in England who set out to do a hoax . . . but even they couldn't fake it. "This definitely looks like the real thing." Retired teacher Kate Dash visited the circles on Ahern Rd and said she doesn't believe the patterns are man-made. "I've been to England to study crop circles for the last five years. "This looks authentic to me," Ms Dash said. "The way the grass has been flattened is amazing and would be almost impossible to do as the circles are beautifully symmetrical." Both crop circle enthusiasts said they had nothing to do with making the circles, which are generally associated with UFOs. But the property's owner, who does not want to be named, said there was a much simpler explanation for the crop circles. "It's the wind creating a whirly-whirly. It spins around in the long grass and that creates the circle," he said.

UFO Seen Over Ottawa Tuesday, April 6. Several residents of the Ottawa area reported seeing an Unidentified Flying Object Monday Night. One caller to CFRA 580 said it was a large, bright, white ball of light that travelled northeast at around 8 o’clock. Denis Legault has been sky-watching for 27 years with the Ottawa Valley Astronomy Group, he says the object was probably a piece of space rock that was too large to burn up right away in the upper atmosphere. Legault says the particles of dust and rock create a brilliant flash of light as they ignite and disintegrate in the lower atmosphere. Ottawa ranks second in Canada for the number of UFOs reported each year. Vancouver reports the most. source: http://www.cfra.com/ by Kris Sims

Group of UFOs seen over Tabio, Columbia On Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at 9 p.m., twenty orange UFOs suddenly appeared over Tabio, a town located 30 kilometers (18 miles) northeast of Bogota, the capital of Colombia. "Residents of the town observed the objects for 30 minutes," reported William Chavez, director of Bogota's Contacto OVNI research group. "The UFOs were described as 'bright lights, orange in color, and approximately 20 of them.'" "Eyewitness Esteban Montenegro contacted our group and said he had successfully videotaped the UFOs as they maneuvered in the night sky over Tabio. He also sent us a close-up image of a large, powerful orange light, with smaller white lights circling its middle like a belt. The video has been turned over to Contacto OVNI and the Engineering Department of the University of the Andes in Bogota for more detailed analysis." "Our group has received other videos which showed similar UFOs hovering over the peak of Cerro de Huaika (mountain) in northern Colombia." Contacto OVNI group source: UFO Roundup

I was driving on highway 122 around 8:45 pm on March 27th 2004, when all of a sudden a large bright yellow/orangish light appeared off to my right in the sky and caught my attention, then that light went out, and another appeared to the left, then that one went out, and one appeared to the right, and then that one went out, and one appeared between the 1st and 2nd light, and then that one went out, and one appeared between the 1st and 4th light, and then that one went out, and they just disappeared, it was a clear night so I could see clearly, I stoped but never could make out any kind of craft of anykind, and the lights were four times the size a F-16 would be at that distance, so I can say it couldn't have been regular jets. It might have been an experimental craft of some kind or it might have been five crafts, I don't know, but I know it was semetrical as far as the size of all the lights, and the distance between them, my first impression was that they were letting each other know where they were at or making some kind of signal to one another. It was really weired. I finally god back into my explorer a few minutes later, and continued driving, and less than a minute after I had I saw fighter jets coming from my left heading as fast as they could go towards my right where I had seen the lights. My wife and I had just walked out of the grocery store on Green Valley road and Main St. in Watsonville, CA. It was almost 6pm and the light was still good and the sky was clear. As we were getting into the car, my wife looked up in the sky and said "Wow, look at those 2 objects in the sky." I got out of the car and looked to where she was pointing. There were three round, bright white colored objects (almost like they were refelcting the suns rays) moving very slowly towards the South to Southwest. They appeared to be very high up, yet were distinct and easy to see. We watched as they slowly lined up in a straight line, stopped and stayed in the same spot for about a minute, then they moved into a triangle position. My first reaction was "They're not planes or jets, if they are helicopters they are very high" Their appearance was totally spherical, not like any aircraft we had ever seen. We watched for about 2-3 minutes, and they appeared to be at the same altitude as when we first saw them, so they didn't appear to be balloons or something like that. They moved very slowly, almost like hovering, then stopped, then moved again into a triangle formation. Then after about a minute in this position they spread out into a large V formation as a fourth object slowly approached from the north and joined the V, then stopped in place as the others were. We stood there in the parking lot of the grocery store staring up at the sky in disbelief for 10 minutes. The light was then slowly ebbing into twilight. To confirm whether it was some kind of stellar phenomena, I looked to where Venus was in the sky and I couldn't see it, nor any other stars or planets. I looked back and the objects were still in their V formation, now slowly moving south. We got in our car and drove home attempting in vain to rationalize this to some kind of human created technology. National UFO Reporting Center

I saw a bright orange/white object in the northern sky over Carson, California, a southern suberb of Los Angeles. Time was 10:30 pm Saturday night March 23'rd, 2004. I was in my back yard. I turned off my porch light, went into my house, noted the time and got my binaculors. I then spent the next 10 minutes observing this object. It moved from the north to the west. It was approx. the size of Venus after sunset. It appeared to be like a bright ball of glowing, gaseous fire/plasma. At the end of the 10 minutes a small "piece" of it came off, fell and disapeared. Before the larger object disapeared it appeared to be going around in a circle and making "figure eights", like when you play with a lazer pointer on a surface. I am 52 years old. I have lived in the same residence for the last 47 years. I am a high school graduate with some higher education. I have never seen a "ufo" until last year, when I had 3 sightings similar to this one over 4 nights in late summer 2003. As a matter of fact the last sighting occured at exactly the same time (10:30 pm) and started in the same location of the sky, in the north, just south of Los Angeles. I live near 3 airports (LAX, Long Beach & Torrance). I am familar with aircraft at night, this was not an aircraft of any kind. What it was, I don't know. At 2:30 today my wife and I were outside allowing our puppy some time to play and do her business. We were sitting in lawn chairs when I looked up and saw a dark brownish-red object directly overhead. The object looked like a tube with each end rounded like a ball. It was undulating and twisting around slowly. After I determined it wasn't a bird or any other known object I ran into the house to get my camcorder. My wife, who wears glasses was unable to see the object mostly because she couldn't find it in the sky. It was moving in and out of the clouds. After I finally found my camcorder case inside I brought it outside and took out the camera, attached the battery and inserted a tape. All of which took some moments. By this time the object had moved off and was further away. When I first saw the object it was directly overhead and moving in a north - northeast direction. Now that I had the camera I moved across the yard to a spot where I could shoot through the trees at where I figured it would be by now. In a moment I found it and shot the attached video. The object was still moving to the north - northeast while clouds were moving slowly to the north. Today was a partly sunny day with rainclouds moving into the area from the south. My video camera has an onboard automatic focus and it kept trying to focus on infinity during the shoot, thus the image is sometimes out of focus. At one point I pointed the camera down to the top of some trees to force it to focus. As the object moves thru the trees it appears to remain focused. It then dissappeared into the cloud bank. My Hi-8mm camera has a 22x zoom which I had it zoomed full. The video is shakey because of this extreme zoom. I have a higher resolution version of this file as well as the 8mm tape. Metallic oval shaped object that moved across the sky and then stopped and hovered and was out of sight with no trace. There was one craft, it looked like a metallic balloon with a bottom section with a cone shape on the underside. (http://www.ufoevidence.org/Photographs/Photo44.htm is almost exactly what we saw)It moved across the sky a smooth, rapid speed and then just stopped and hovered. At that point we moved behind a building for about 10-15 seconds and by the time we got on the otherside it was no where in site, we had plenty of room to see for miles in many directions and was too low to have gone above the clouds in that short of time. There was an airline jet in the background coming in for a landing at ORF and a bird in closer, so it couldn't have been that high in the air. It was very visible, and distinct...no where near the clouds that were in the sky. National UFO Reporting Center

There were bright lights in strange formation. We saw a form of light in the sky that did notmove, it was just hovering. I live near a landing strip, so it is not unusal to see planes around. But this did not look like a plane. My girlfriend told me she had been watching the object before I noticed it, I have told her that things like that creep me out. SHe said that the lights on the object changed formation. I did not catch that, but I did see the three lights alligned in a straight line. National UFO Reporting Center

Sitting on the beach In Naples, Florida at 10:50 p.m. me and my friend saw what we thought was a bright star sitting there for a few minutes. We then saw a bright light flash on the horizon as if it was signaling the light up north towards Cape Coral and Sanibel Island. The light farther north glowed bright enough to see a reflection in the water and then all of the sudden it slowly split into three glowing objects. One went right and one went left leaving the original duller but in the same place. The light on the right went faster and eventually behind trees out of sight. The one on the left stopped and went back to the original light and made it glow. At that moment the one on the horizon blinked again. While the north light disappeared leaving a dark spot in the sky. After about 4 or 5 minutes we thought it was gone when right in front of our eyes the Light on the horizon blinked again and the light to the north reappeared. It glowed so bright this time that we compared it to the ALMOST full moon because the reflection on the water. The light then split into three objects again and formed a triangle ( the light to the north) that moved across the sky slowly then darted out of sight the right which would be east. At that point we left the beach and told my friend’s parents about it and went to bed to leave early in the morning. When we came home we told another friend who told us to look it up on the internet and then we found http://www.spacepub.com/users/data/sightings/flo/flo.htm. which had a reference to your sight. Duration:20 seconds. Driving home from the shops, my girl friend said look as she is pointing into the sky not too far away. I only got a glimpse as I was at the traffic lights as they were turning green to go.I saw a dark bobly (?) shape that looked like it had different round pods or parts. It was just showing through the low clouds, and my girl friend got a really good look and she is freaked out coz she don't beleve in things like that. As I drove around the round about to stop and get a better look it was nowhere to be seen. I didnt hear any noise but if there was any it was probably drowned out by the engine of the car. Date: March 28, 2004 Time: Approx: 5:10 p.m. Full Description of event/sighting: I was looking into the sky at the Confederation driving range watching a ball when I saw the first object moving across the sky at a high rate of speed. I was able to point it out to two friends I had there and they tracked it with me. As we watched it move across the sky - we noticed a second one in front of it - they were moving at such an incredible rate of speed that they simply vanished into the distance. The two objects were circular in shape and had a silver metallic color to them. "I think we're a long way from understanding this phenomenon, (UFOs) and the only way we're going to understand it is to stop talking to each other, and go back and talk to the witnesses. That's what I wanted to do, and I wanted to do it first-hand."

As every member of the Blue Mountains Unexplained Mysteries Discussion Group (Australia) knows, from regular reports in our Group's newsletter, since late 1999 there has been an increasing number of strange lights and objects sighted in the southernmost region of the Burragorang Valley, south of Katoomba beyond Mt. Solitary. This is the region notorious for the mysterious disappearances of a number of people over many years, of strange sounds heard by campers late at night, seemingly emanating from below ground; and the area where so many strange objects and lights have been seen to appear from out of and disappear into seeminly thin air. Theories include the inter-dimension concept of "coming into and disappearing from" our state of reality, or saucers quickly going to underground bases, which makes a witness feel that the object just "disappeared."
There have also been reports in all parts of the world of UFOs causing automobiles with occupants to disappear into a "mist," or "fog," only to reappear at another location at a later time.
