UFO in Saint Rita, Brazil photographed with cellphone. A consultant of UFO Magazine Claudio Brazil, from Sao Paulo, was sent via email the account of a visit by a UFO on the Anhanguaera Highway. The event took place on August 3, 2004 at 15:00 hours. Three witnesses traveling on the highway saw the large object, stopping their car to see the object better. Click on image to see original photo While watching the unusual object, one of the three grabbed his cellphone and took a picture of it. This is an extremely rare event, the taking of a UFO picture via the use of a cellphone. The UFO Casebook reported a similar incident that occurred in SouthDevon, UK on May 27th of this year. The three witnesses were close to Rita Saint, Passa Quatro, when they first saw the object which was in the shape of a cigar. The object was flying low, even leaving dust below it. (visible in the photograph) But for a major part of the sighting, the unknown object appeared to be motionless in the sky. The UFO would make only short, brief moves as the youngsters watched. The object also made a sound, which sounded like "some machines functioning together." A report of their encounter was made on August 4 to the Net Bandeirantes de Televisão. The report was also given to UFO Magazine's J. Gevaerd. Gevaerd says that the object was viewed for as long as 30 minutes. The case is under review, and the cellphone image is being analyzed by experts of the Brazilian Center of Research of Discos Voadores (CBPDV). On Monday, July 26, 2004, eyewitness E.B. reported,
"The power went out at about 1:20 a.m. I jumped up to get
a flashlight and, while looking for one, the power came
back on. I got to thinking about an unusual light I saw
in the sky at 12:30 a.m. While I was looking in the area
of that light, I saw a glowing silver person flying above
(the neighborhood) at a height of 70 or 80 feet (21 to 24
meters). It could not have been more than 100 feet (30
meters) in the sky because I saw it quite clearly. It
flew at maybe a medium fast pace." "The moment I saw it, I screamed and ran inside, slammed and locked the door, and continued to watch it through the window. It went behind some trees, and, when it came out the other side, it shot off towards the north. I didn't get any feeling of meanness or it wanting to do me any harm. I think the reason I screamed was because it startled me. I just wonder what that thing was. When it came out from behind the trees, it shot off like a rocket." Kerman, Cal.(population 8,551) is on Highway 180 about 15 miles (25 kilometers) west of Fresno. thanks to UFO Roundup |

There has been much written about the Mothman since the 1966 -67 events around Point Pleasant, West Virginia (USA). There are many web sites containing details of these events, also listings of books and media material available for you to follow-up and study these cases in detail. It was not until I personally witnessed an unusual flying 'thing' while sky-watching for UFO's late July 2004 that my interest was directly aimed at the Mothman details. I had seen a fast flying low altitude 'object' around 8 feet long. The interesting feature was a 'twin tail', like a swallow tail. I immediately thought "Mothman?" I did not see red eyes or other colour, just the dark profile against the night sky of something large with a narrow tapering twin tail feature that could be scooped back wings. No noise was heard even though the 'object' was only around 45 metre's away. A web search for "Mothman" showed numerous sites containing details on the subject. One site in particular contained two digital photos of a dark figure perched on top of a bridge taken in Russell, Ky. looking towards Ironton, Ohio. I downloaded these images and put them through the image enhancement procedures I use for UFO images. Following are the results of this enhancement process. This could be the very first time EVER, that the Mothman has been photographed, and facial features seen.

08-05-04. There's something fishy going on in Manitoba's skies.
Unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings in the Keystone
Province are nearing an all-time high, according to an
independent group that investigates and records reported
sightings across Canada. More than 50 have already been counted so far this year, double the 25 sightings recorded in 2003, said Winnipegger Chris Rutkowski, co-ordinator of Ufology Research of Manitoba. The most sightings in one year in Manitoba was 74 in 1993. The reason for the increase is just as puzzling as details of some of the sightings, Rutkowski said. In July, two people driving along Highway 6 near Ponton, south of Thompson, saw two bright, orange-coloured lights zoom across the early morning sky. "The first one rose up out of the bush beside the road and flew in front of them, a second ball of light came across the road and then both flew away," Rutkowski said. "A woman (in the car) said they were very frightened." Winnipeggers have reported seeing "round patches of light" chasing each other in the sky above the northeast corner of the city, Rutkowski said. "I suspect it's some sort of (spotlight) advertising mechanism," he said. That sighting is one of more than 400 that have been reported by Canadians up until the end of last month, a large jump compared with last year's total of 300 during the same period, Rutkowski said. One of his favourite sightings is from Caraquet, N.B., where odd pairs of lights were spotted in January above a highway. "One person reported seeing something with two or three lights and some sort of structure attached to it," Rutkowski said. "That area seemed to be quite a UFO hot spot this winter." Canada is on pace to top last year's total of 670 sightings, the most recorded in one year, he said. Most UFO sightings can be attributed to natural phenomena or human activity. "There's a small percentage that we simply don't have explanations for. We can't say they're alien spacecrafts because we don't have that proof," Rutkowski said. "There's probably life out there somewhere but whether it can come all the way here is the big question." 8/1/04 between 5:00 and 5:15 pm. I was cooking out in my back yard, which faces north, the wind was moderate, blowing from west to east. I was just looking around when I looked into the sky and spotted this perfect white sphere, moving from north to south, very slowly, slower than the wind was blowing. At first i thought it was a white balloon (a child's balloon, not a weather balloon) then realized that it was reflecting the light of the sun, very brightly, as though it was made of metal. It was moving so slowly that I had time to go into the house, find my camera and take pictures. It just disappeared, over the trees. It was not moving in that wafting way that a balloon would move, being carried on the wind, plus it was moving in a different direction. If it was an airplane, I would have been able to see the wings and hear the engines. It was moving perhaps as fast as a small single-engine plane would move, or maybe even a bit slower. Also, there was not a lot of traffic noise that would drown
out the sound of a small plane. We do live near an airport (south of our house, not sure how far) and see planes around quite often. Photos were taken of the sphere, but are in the process of being developed. Hopefully by next week's edition, we will have them to show you. (B J) thanks to Donna UFO Casebook online reporting form

Members of the scientific expedition of the Siberian state foundation
Tunguska Space Phenomenon say they have managed to uncover blocks of an
extraterrestrial technical device. The space body, which was later called
the Tunguska meteorite, fell down on Earth on June 30th 1908, 65 kilometers
off the Vanavara settlement, the Evenkiya republic.
The first expedition to study the Tunguska meteorite was organized in 1927. Professor Leonid Kulik headed the mission. However, explorers have never managed to discover any fragments of the celestial body. The press service of the Evenkiya republic administration reported the expedition worked in the western part of the region in the summer of the current year. The mission's itinerary was based on the results of the space footage analysis. Explorers believe they have discovered blocks of an extraterrestrial technical device, which crashed down on Earth on June 30th, 1908. In addition, expedition members found the so-called "deer" - the stone, which Tunguska eyewitnesses repeatedly mentioned in their stories. Explorers delivered a 50-kilogram piece of the stone to the city of Krasnoyarsk to be studied and analyzed. It is generally believed a giant ball of fire flew above Central Siberia before the Tunguska meteorite blast. Scientists have analyzed hundreds of eyewitnesses' stories and revealed a still inexplicable detail. Thunder-like sounds and incredible light effects were seen not only during and after the bolide flight, but also before it. Several eyewitnesses, including a political exile (a highly-educated individual), mentioned that in their stories. It is very hard to explain it with subjective mistakes, because such affirmations reiterate independently. Observers were located tens of kilometers far from the area of the fall. A ballistic wave could not create such a sound: it could remain behind the bolide, but it could never outdistance it. The only real explanation can be linked with powerful electromagnetic phenomena, albeit scientists have not developed a complete analysis of the issue from this point of view. Another circumstance is tied with the direction of the body's movement. On the ground of eyewitnesses' testimonies collected in the 1920s and 1930s, scientists concluded the bolide had flown northwards from the south. The analysis of the woods destruction, though, testified to the westwards movement of the body from the east. It is noteworthy it is the direction that can be traced in eyewitnesses' stories. The discrepancy is evident. A lot of scientists have tried to explain the mysterious phenomenon using various approaches. It was particularly said several bolides had flown above the Siberian woods in 1908. This point of view seems to be rather unfounded - no eyewitness could see several bolides in one day. Another theory provoked a discussion in the scientific world, when professor F.Zigel proposed the meteorite maneuvered in the Earth's atmosphere. It would be possible to discuss the theory only if the Tunguska meteorite was a man-caused catastrophe. The meteorite flight culminated in the powerful blast up to 40 Mt of trotyl equivalent. 1951 Gander, Newfoundland UFO Case |
Newfoundland, Canada. On February 10, a US Navy flight, Atlantic/Continental Air Transport Squadron one, located at USN Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland, was out of Keflavik, Iceland at 49-50 degrees north latitude and 50-03 degrees west longitude about 150 kilometers [90 miles] west of Gander, Newfoundland out over the Atlantic Ocean. The aircraft was probably bound for Gander to refuel judging by its position and course of 230 degrees true, though the report does not mention this. US Naval Reserve Lieutenant Graham Bethune, copilot of Flight 125, was occupying the captain¹s seat on the left side of the cockpit in the passenger plane when he first sighted a huge object [at least] 300 feet in diameter on a near collision course with their aircraft. The copilot stated in his official report, ³...I observed a glow of light below the horizon about 1,000 to 1,500 feet [330-470 meters] above the water. We both [the pilot as well] observed its course and motion for about 4 or 5 minutes before calling it to the attention of the other crew members. . . .Suddenly its angle of attack changed. Its altitude and size increased as though its speed was in excess of 1,000 miles [1,670 kilometers] per hour. It closed in so fast that the first feeling was we would collide in mid air. At this time its angle changed and the color changed. It then [appeared] definitely circular and reddish orange on its perimeter. It reversed its course and tripled its speed until it was last seen disappearing over the horizon.² The copilot¹s report goes on to say that the object came within five miles of their aircraft which was borne out by radar evidence of the encounter because the object had been tracked by DEW Line Ground Radar at the base in Goose Bay, Labrador. Submitted by Don Ledger. Source: GR+V From Dominique Weinstein's Aircraft/UFO Encounters Catalogue - Special Report #2 Canadian East Coast Cases. Ref: Above Top Secret, Timothy Good-1988 *U* UFO Database, Larry Hatch Maj. Donald E. Keyhoe: When the plane landed, the entire crew was interrogated by AF Intelligence officers. At their destination, Patuxent Naval Air Station in Maryland, the pilot and the rest were questioned again by Naval Intelligence and required to sign full reports. Later, a government scientist (supposedly from the CIA) confidentially showed the pilot secret UFO photos - one portraying a disc like the one over the Atlantic. In a final interview, the commander was interviewed by Air Technical Intelligence officers at Wright-Patterson AFB. But none of the Navy or Air Force men, or the government scientist, would answer any questions about the UFOs. Source: Aliens From Space, 96

This sighting took place in Baxter Tennessee at 20:30 hours, Monday August 9th. I recieved a call from one of two witnesses who had been sitting on their deck as they do every evening when they saw what first appeared to be a bright star, slowly rising on the southern horizon. The object rose to about 45 degrees and began hovering, still only starlike, but very bright and seeming to "pulse", becoming bright and very dim. After a total time of about 15 minutes, the object took off at high speed to the west, ascended and simply vanished. These two witnesses have never before seen a UFO . Quite credible, sincere and intelligent witnesses and their testimony is without question. A check with the FAA indicated no reports from aircraft or controllers . Quite an interesting report. thanks to: Kim Shaffer MUFON Tn SD |

| U. S. AIR FORCE BASE (UNIDENTIFIED) The Air Force witness claims that he met an airman in North Dakota when he was based there in 1970, who told him that his uncle who owned a drill company in Florida was asked by USAF to come to the base with the best drills he had. He was taken to a hanger on one of the airbases, and there were three saucer like craft inside. He was asked to drill into one of them and he tried with his best equipment. He said, "He drilled in one spot for about 15 minutes, and there was no sign of any marks where the drill had been working. No heat or color change no nothing. I never saw the airman again. | ATLANTA – The witness reports, "This sighting was similar to my encounter a few days ago, only that each craft moved in completely different directions. The first one was a star-like looking object with a one second interval flash very similar to the fourth craft I saw a few days ago. It moved fairly slow from south to north. The second one was identical without a flash and moved from west to east. The third was identical in appearance, except it moved freely wherever it wanted. It started from the south and strayed towards the northwest zigzagging a few times. This time my girlfriend was with me as opposed to my last encounter. She witnessed two of the three craft. I'm sure it's still continuing because I saw three within ten minutes at 9:50 PM on July 23, 2004." Thanks to Peter Davenport Director http://www.ufocenter.com/ |

| LACROSSE – The witnesses saw a cigar shaped object flying so slow they thought it was going to stall. The cigar was high up but they could tell it was tubular, without wings and no tail. The object was moving northwest to southeast. After about a minute it passed by a jet flying east to west at a higher elevation. The jet made a complete turn and flew in the same direction as the "blimp" and seemed like he was chasing it. So they got their binoculars. The witness states, "Sure enough this three lighted thing with the lights rotating flew over our heads at about 1000 feet heading northwest to southeast. I used to fly airplanes, and this whole thing was really weird so I called up my Mom who was driving home and was located between Lacrosse and Sparta. She, also, saw a craft that got her attention because it seemed to have no wings. Thanks to Scott and Peter Davenport Director http://www.ufocenter.com/ |

| CHICAGO -- Around 1 AM, on July 25, 2004, the observer was sitting on his back porch and noticed a thick cloud with a pulsating and flashing light coming from it. He continued to watch and knew it wasn't lightening or a star or anything normal. There was no sound. He kept looking and saw eight to nine objects in perfect alignment with one another circling the main light that was pulsating from the thick cloud. These smaller objects flew into the lighted area and disappeared. After three minutes the cloud wasn't there either! Thanks to Peter Davenport Director http://www.hbccufo.com/ |

| LOGANSPORT -- At first the witnesses thought it was a bright star, but then it got bigger and brighter, disappeared and then a yellowish color at 9 PM on July 23, 2004. The object lit up like a banana shaped star, then got brighter and bigger. Then all the sudden disappeared and just as fast, a banana shape light appeared then quickly disappeared. PICAYUNE – On July 27, 2004, at about 7:55 PM, the witness noticed the moon directly in front of him at sunset, even though the sky was still light from the setting sun. He was walking directly toward the moon, when two objects caught his attention. One was larger, oblong, or tubular, and shining silvery, moving high up, in an even line smoothly and swiftly going in a southwest direction. The other which seemed similarly shaped, was a little higher or appeared smaller, was criss-crossing going in the opposite direction. Two more women came out to the parking lot, and one lady said, "Do you see that?" "It's a UFO." I agreed. As we watched the larger one going southwest glowed a bright silvery color as it neared the sunset reflection and shortly afterwards disappeared. The three of us saw and came to the same conclusion that these were not airplanes. The larger of the two had to be pretty large since it was visible for at least seven minutes, and we had no trouble seeing it as it moved from us. When the sunset reflected off it, we were assured that would not happen on an airplane at that height. It appeared to reflect the sunset, while the rest of the sky was blue/grey and the western sky was colored. New Orleans is southwest of where the larger one appeared headed. This was my first sighting of this type of object. The lady said it was hers too. Thanks to Brian Vike, Director http://www.hbccufo.com/ |

| PORTLAND – The observer was burning small tree limbs when he saw a V formation of nine objects flying north slowly on 19 or 20 of July 2004, at 3:45 AM. The objects were behind a sheer cloud with aura's around them. There seemed to be a slight fog around the nine discs which made the orange a lighter color with a white aura around them. The observer states, "The V formation sailed through the sky slowly over the house moving north taking up a good part of the sky. Since there was a mist around them I could not make out anything in detail. It was beautiful and I was in awe. There was no noise whatsoever. The lights did not flash and the discs stayed in formation of the 'V'". I live ten miles from an airbase but there were no aircraft flying in the area. KIRKLAND -- This is day two my wife and I saw the same spherical object moving in the sky at about 60,000 feet altitude on July 20, 2004, at 7:30 PM. Yesterday, they saw three objects. After three or four minutes, they saw the original silver sphere moving west like the previous day. He called his wife to come out and she also saw the sphere. They got out binoculars to see it better and magnified it was silver and a sphere. It was probably a little smaller than a jet flying at about 40,000 feet. This time we didn't see any other objects like we did yesterday flying around it. Then it blinked out and was gone. There was no high cloud cover this time like there was the day before. He states, "I think the odds of seeing this thing twice in two days is really strange. The objects from the day before moved in odd directions around it and changed direction and speed. This main sphere kept the same course during both sightings." Thanks to Peter Davenport Director http://www.ufocenter.com/ MT ADAMS -- On July 27, 2004, 12:26 PM, from out of the west up over the mountains, there rose a narrow ghostly beam of white light! Steady and unmoving as it crossed the heavens, I could look directly up overhead and peer into it at the point where it crossed above me. Onward to the east the beam continued, until lost to line of sight. For fifteen or twenty minuets the beam remained focused in a tight narrow band over head. It did not move, nor did it waver in the least. I can only compare it to a gigantic spotlight, this beam was many hundred times larger in diameter. Despite it's stunning size, it was tightly focused for the entire time it remained visible. It did not appear like any Northern lights I have seen or heard about? There was a decent display of northern lights a few hours later. I have never seen northern lights that maintained such integrity of form for that long of time and crossed the sky from such a Westerly direction. There were no other lights in the sky at the time of this occurrence. This was more as if God's flashlight had been laid across the sky. This was a narrow, and tight band of light that did not diffuse as normal light would do. Something odd that can be added to a list of new and never before seen phenomena that are occurring on nearly a daily basis recently. Friends, there is something, "going down!" .....Something is happening in the heavens. LAKE SUPERIOR - Wyn sent an e-mail to Cliff Mickelson! Last night we watched a 'northern lights' show except they were not off the northern horizon as usual-they were directly overhead, and extending slightly eastward. No color, but bright white, lasting fifteen minutes. In the midst of it, (about 10 minutes in), what appeared to be a 'shooting star with a tail', traversed eastward. Previous to this, but long after sundown, the horizon to the South, west and north of us had a slight purplish hue and the moon was pinkish yellow (moon is still hard to look at-it seems to continually shimmer). We live on the west end of Lake Superior, MN to give you an idea of location for this phenomenon CliffMickelson.

LONDON -- Looking north from Chelsea in Central London on July 29, 2004, at 7:04 PM, the witness reports, "I saw a strange looking bright light as I went to close a window and it was hanging in the air in line with the 30 Street Mary Axe building in the city." I am familiar with the daily and nightly flow of helicopters and planes in this area, and this light did not look like any normal air traffic. I have lived in the same place for over 15 years, and I know the sky here. This light was motionless and oddly colored, without strobes. I grabbed my telescope and at full magnification, it appeared to have three lobes in an equilateral triangle configuration, each one being an orange color. The three lights dimmed to nothing. The whole event lasted five minutes for me. He adds, "From where I was observing, it was ten degrees above the horizon. As for its size, all that I can say is that I distinctly saw three lobes at maximum magnification, which is 60X on a Bauch & Lomb Discoverer Zoom Telescope." The sky had broken cloud cover, and there were no stars visible to me at the time. Thanks to Peter Davenport Director http://www.ufocenter.com/ |

SOUTHWEST EDMONTON, ALBERTA – On July 28, 2004, a security guard was at work on shift at about 1:30 AM, walking outside the building and saw an odd disc object in the west sky with violent flashing red and yellow lights. It hovered in the same spot for about ten minutes. Then it would start to move violently left to right up and down and diagonally like it was shaking. This continued on for about another 30 minutes. The guard went back inside and completed some work and went back out for another look. The guard states, "Now I saw eight discs stretched across the sky doing the exact same thing." I started to get a bit curious and I went to the front of the building for a look. I saw two more but these were a lot closer and lower than the other ones. One started to get really close and was about 5 to 10 km away and roughly 100 feet in the air. It was moving west and getting lower and lower. It went behind a small hill and it looked like it could of landed. At this point I was a bit nervous and notified the police. By the time they arrived the sky was getting light and you couldn't see much. Thanks to Brian Vike http://www.hbccufo.com/ QUEBEC -- The person reports, "Something happened again during the night of July 2, 2004. I must confess that I am getting really tired of this and scared. Mostly I don't understand what's happening. I am sending you two pictures that I took with my digital camera. Zoom on the lower part and you'll see a triangle almost identical to the mark I find on my arm from time to time. The other picture shows two unidentified objects, greenish in color and facing each other. I took these pictures around 4 o'clock in the morning. I was mesmerized by the sky on that night, at that time. I was glued to the window without knowing exactly why. I fell asleep suddenly in the living room after taking the pictures. And again I felt something abnormal happened to me. Brian Vike writes, "This person has had ongoing close encounters on previous occasions." Thanks to Brian Vike, http://www.hbccufo.com/ REDCLIFF, ALBERTA – Two brothers were sitting out on the deck of their Dad's old farmhouse drinking iced tea on July 8, 2004, when they saw a white beam of light extending downwards into the trees. After about six or seven seconds, the beam seemed to angle and the nose of a blackish triangular thing became visible. Then a thin row of pale lights outlined the bottom of the craft. It seemed to rotate once, so another point was facing our direction and took off in a blink of an eye over us and the house. We raced to the front yard to see if we could still see it, but it was gone. It made little to no noise and left a misty trail. My brother, who has insisted we are "not alone" has had four encounters now....this is the first time I've ever believed him. This is the first time I've ever imagined something like this was possible. It actually drove us apart, and there was a time where we hadn't spoken for over a year.
